Asian Stir Fry

Ingredients

  • - 1 lb of protein (chicken, beef, tofu, shrimp, etc.)
  • - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • - 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • - 2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • - 1 cup broccoli florets
  • - 1 cup sliced carrots
  • - 1 cup sugar snap peas
  • - 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • - 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • - 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • - 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • - 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Directions

  1. 1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. 2. Add the protein and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. 3. In the same pan, heat the remaining tablespoon of oil.
  4. 4. Add the onion, bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, and sugar snap peas. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. 5. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  6. 6. Return the protein to the pan.
  7. 7. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Pour over the stir-fry and toss to combine.
  8. 8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. 9. Serve the Asian stir-fry over cooked rice or noodles. Enjoy!
